Inua Ellams – In Conversation with New Coventry Poets

Inua Ellams is an internationally touring poet, playwright and performer who will be joined by one of the leading voices in British poetry as well as members of the Change the Word collective. Ellams is the writer of the multi-award winning play Barber Shop Chronicles (National Theatre) and the well-known autobiographical piece An Evening With An Immigrant.

Ellams will perform his poems alongside members of the Change the World Coventry Collective, a new group of poets formed of both newly arrived Coventry refugees and people who have lived in Coventry their entire lives.
